Blue Knot Foundation collects and uses your personal information to deliver the services and resources you have requested. We may also use this information to inform you of other services, programs or upcoming events. Blue Knot Foundation will not sell, rent or lease its member lists to third parties. If you do not wish to have your personal information used in any specific way or you wish to have your personal information removed from our system please email Blue Knot Foundation with your request.

The Website may utilise "cookies" which enable us to monitor traffic patterns and to serve you more efficiently if you revisit the site. A cookie does not identify you personally but it does identify your computer. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie and this will provide you with an opportunity to either accept or reject it in each instance.

Blue Knot Foundation will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Blue Knot Foundation or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Blue Knot Foundation, and its Website, (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Blue Knot Foundation, its Website, or the public.

We will preserve the content of any e-mail or other communication you send us if we believe we have the legal requirement to do so. Your e-mail message content may be monitored by us for maintenance purposes or if any form of e-mail abuse is suspected.

In accordance with the National Privacy Principles, we will not collect sensitive information about you (including information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, philosophical beliefs, membership of professional or trade associations or unions, sexual practices and criminal records) unless you have consented to this or unless we believe we are required by law to do so.

Refund Policy for Membership Fees

Blue Knot Foundation does not refund membership fees.

 

Policy regarding Third-party Material

Blue Knot Foundation, whilst supportive in principle of materials developed by third-parties to benefit survivors of all forms of child abuse ("Third-party Materials"), will generally not endorse any Third Party Materials; instead, it reserves its rights in relation to providing a statement of support in relation to Third-party Materials. Any statement of support from Blue Knot Foundation: (i) will be subject to the written approval and authorisation of the board of directors of Blue Knot Foundation (provided at the absolute discretion of the board of directors of Blue Knot Foundation); and (ii) does not constitute any form of express or implied warranty in relation to the veracity, quality or suitability of the Third-party Materials.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blue Knot Foundation, its directors, officers, employees and associates disclaim all responsibility and liability for any Third-party Materials.

 

Policy regarding use of Blue Knot Foundation Intellectual Property

Any use of Blue Knot Foundation's intellectual property will be subject to such terms and conditions as Blue Knot Foundation may reasonably require. Without limiting this requirement, any use of Blue Knot Foundation's intellectual property will be subject to the proper observance of Blue Knot Foundation's rights as owner of such intellectual property (including, but not limited to, proper attribution and usage for a proper purpose).

Security

Our commitment to the security of confidentiality is resolute and we aim to apply best practice to ensure privacy is protected and respected.
